Team Elton/VSON Covid-19 Update
Here’s Our VSON Update March 16, 2020:
At Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, the health of our patients, providers, and staff is of the highest priority.
At this time, we are closing our practice in Vail. We will continue to operate our normal clinic hours in Edwards and Frisco. Our after hours Urgent Care in Frisco is now closed.
Patients are welcome to attend their standing appointments unless they are sick or have come into contact with positive cases of COVID-19. We urge patients over 70 to reschedule their appointments for late April - early May, or after the local outbreaks have been properly mitigated.
We have taken steps to mitigate the spreading of colds and viruses in our office. Patient are welcome in our Frisco and Edwards offices, unless they are experiencing flu-like symptoms, coughing, shortness of breath, or fever, in which case we ask that you stay home and reschedule your appointment when your symptoms have resolved. We are conducting screenings in our waiting rooms. If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, you will be turned away. We thank all of our patients for working with us to help keep our community safe.

And a personal message from Team Elton:
Team Elton is taking the current outbreak of Covid-19 very seriously. We want to encourage social distancing as much as possible so we’re asking Dr. Elton's patients to reschedule for 2 weeks out— unless it is an urgent matter such as an injury that needs to be seen immediately.
When possible, we will be doing virtual consults so please get in touch with us to explore this option. (eltonteam@vsortho.com, or 970-476-7220). Patients who do need to be seen in person will be screened, as we are taking all appropriate precautions in our clinics to minimize the possibility of exposure.
